...This report summarises Fitch Ratings' response to feedback received on the Exposure Draft: Supranationals Rating Criteria during the exposure draft period, which ended on 31 August 2024. Fitch received 11 external written responses, nine of which requested confidentiality. Respondents were supportive of Fitch's proposed criteria changes and welcomed the enhanced transparency on the rating assessment. A number of respondents mentioned that Fitch's proposed criteria changes were adequately reflecting the evolving business model of multilateral development banks (MDBs). Based on the feedback received, Fitch has made a few clarifications to its criteria, but the agency has not made any fundamental change relative to the Exposure Draft report. Before publishing its Exposure Draft, Fitch had engaged in extensive dialogue with market participants as proposals affecting MDBs were developing.
