...Scores Reveal Capital Strength: The results for Fitch Ratings' U.S. Prism stochastic capital model, based on insurers' year-end 2014 statutory financial statements, reveal stability in capital adequacy. The majority of companies in Fitch's universe have Prism scores of `Strong' or better. Prism Score Changes: The 2014 Prism scores for 45 U.S. property/casualty (P/C) insurance groups are shown on page 3 and the distribution is shown in the chart below. Company Prism results have not experienced wide changes from 2013 results, though fewer insurers scored `Extremely Strong'. Five individual insurer Prism scores moved one category lower in 2014 and four insurers moved one category higher. Companies that changed scores were typically on the cusp of that category in the prior year.
