NY -- Standard&Poor's CreditWire 6/4/96 -- Standard&Poor's today has assigned its single-`B'-minus rating to Apple Computer Inc.'s $575 million convertible subordinated notes due 2001. Standard&Poor's has affirmed its single-`B'-plus rating on the company's senior debt and its single-`C' rating on the company's commercial paper, and has removed the ratings from CreditWatch, where they were placed Dec. 18, 1995. The amount of rated debt affected is $300 million. Apple's commercial paper and senior debt ratings were lowered in April 1996 but remained on CreditWatch pending a review of near-term liquidity sources.
