We raised our ratings on U.S.-based Alico to 'AA-' on May 1, 2012, based on our view that the insurer is now core to the MetLife group. The outlook on Alico is stable. We raised our ratings on MetLife Alico Japan to 'AA-/A-1+', reflecting its core status within the Alico and MetLife organizations. The outlook on MetLife Alico Japan is negative, reflecting the negative outlook on the sovereign ratings on Japan.
