NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) July 1, 2015--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today it assigned its 'BBB+' issue rating to St. Paul, Minn.-based Ecolab Inc.'s proposed €575 million senior unsecured notes. The ratings on Ecolab, including the 'BBB+' corporate credit rating, remain unchanged. The outlook is positive. The rating reflects our assessment of the business risk profile as "strong" and financial risk profile as "significant" resulting in an anchor rating of 'bbb'. Our 'BBB+' corporate credit rating reflects a one-notch uplift from the anchor due to our positive comparable rating analysis. We believe the company is strongly positioned relative to peers with a comparable anchor score. We view Ecolab as being at the high end of the "strong" business
