As our clients embark on projects focused on bringing multiple internal systems together, vetting customer accounts, uncovering key directors relationships, and mobile alerts, Alacra has developed applications to meet their evolving needs. Alacra’s Concordance Solution continued to gain momentum in 2006 as we expanded our coverage universe. This solution seamlessly ties together multiple sources of reference data including company, security and industry identifiers. Our repository contains information on all global public companies; large private companies, subsidiaries, divisions; all corporate and municipal rated issuers; agency-rated special purpose vehicles; venture capital, private equity firms; and hedge funds. Alacra Concordance is a rich tool ideal for a host of mapping initiatives, ranging from de-duping of client lists to a quick and accurate means obtaining up to date external content identifiers, or building a central authority file on a standard. Alacra Compliance, launched in the spring, is a workflow application that helps financial institutions comply with Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act and FSA regulations. This solutions utilizes our federated search technology, bringing results together from premium databases, the Alacra Compliance Web, a vertical search engine, and various public records databases. Throughout 2006, we added a number of new databases including watch lists from World-Check, news from Factiva and LexisNexis, public records data from Accurint, company data from OneSource, bigdough’s hedge fund data and more. We can now return results from all Secretary of State and state insurance sites, thirty government regulators, watch lists such as OFAC SDN and the Bank of England sanction list plus dozens of stock exchanges and global companies’ houses and handelsregisters. In September, Alacra Compliance was named a Model of Excellence Award Winner by InfoCommerce Group and in October we added a Google powered vertical search engine to enhance compliance related web results. Read more...Alacra Connections provides Corporate Executive and Board of Director Information for over 30,000 companies, non-profit organizations, and trade associations as well as complete biographical information for over 400,000 executives and board members. By integrating multiple databases, Alacra Connections is able to uncover key relationships among key industry leaders not evident through simple searches of corporate board memberships. The breadth of coverage includes “people” data from Corporate Board Member, Leadership Directories and Hemscott, enabling Alacra to provide customers with relationship intelligence which helps them uncover “degrees of separation” for sales, marketing, and conflict checking purposes. At the close of summer 2006, we launched Alacra Current Awareness. Alacra Current Awareness provides users with co-mingled alerts from multiple content providers on the companies and executives in which they are interested that can be delivered via desktop email or a Blackberry. Since the initial release of Current Awareness, we have enhanced the product based on valuable feedback from our clients. In 2007 we plan to add new RSS feeds from our premium content partners and working hand-in-hand with customers to define new product features. Read more...
