Abstract:MELBOURNE (Standard&Poor's) May 8, 2008--The amount of new issuance of Australian and New Zealand commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) was significantly lower in 2007 than it was in 2006. The latest issue of Australia&New Zealand CMBS Performance Watch, published today by Standard&Poor's Ratings Services, reports that there was A$1.7 billion of new issuance in the year to Dec. 31, 2007, which was down from A$5.2 billion in 2006. CMBS issuance in the second-half of 2007 was made up of two new programs and a tap issuance for one other transaction.
