Abstract:CHICAGO (Standard&Poor's) May 6, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has raised its rating on the city of Solon, Ohio's GO debt to 'AAA' from 'AA+', reflecting the city's extremely strong creditworthiness. The outlook is stable. Credit characteristics include access to the large and diverse Cleveland-Akron area employment base, a large local employment base within the city that helps to support the city's income and property tax bases, economic indicators that compare very well with national averages, solid financial performance backed with very strong reserves, and a low debt burden with no additional debt plans. "We expect that the city will continue to operate with very strong financial reserve levels and benefit from its location near Cleveland and Akron.
