Abstract:On May 6, 2008, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services lowered its issue-level rating on Journal Register Co.'s senior secured credit facilities to 'CCC' (at the same level as the 'CCC' corporate credit rating on the company) from 'B-'. The recovery rating on these loans remains unchanged at '3', indicating that lenders can expect meaningful (50% to 70%) recovery in the event of a default. The issue-level rating was removed from CreditWatch, where it was placed with negative implications on April 7, 2008. The issue-level rating actions were made in conjunction with the lowering and removal from CreditWatch of the corporate credit rating on the company.
