Abstract:CHICAGO (Standard&Poor's) May 5, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has raised its issuer credit rating (ICR) on Jackson County School District C-1 (Hickman Mills), Mo.'s general obligation (GO) bonds to 'A+' from 'A', reflecting the maintenance of strong financial reserves. The outlook is stable. At the same time, the rating service assigned its 'A+' ICR to the district's $15 million series 2008 GO school building bonds. The 'A+' ICR further reflects the district's participation in the strong and diverse Kansas City, Mo. economy; stable local economy with adequate income indicators; and moderate debt burden with manageable capital needs.
