Abstract:NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) May 1, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services has raised its issuer credit rating (ICR) on Pickens County School District, S.C.'s general obligation (GO) bonds to 'A+' from 'A,' reflecting the district's expanding local economy, strengthening market values on a per capita basis, and sound financial position supporting very strong reserve levels. The outlook is stable. At the same time, the rating service assigned its 'AA' standard long-term rating and 'A+' ICR to the district's $3.34 million GO refunding bonds series 2008A.
