| Abstract: | NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) May 1, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today assigned its 'A+' rating to Latam Trust Series 2008-101's Chilean peso (CLP) 2,187,000,000 certificates. The rating reflects: -- The credit quality of the reference entity, whose credit performance has a direct effect on the payment of interest and principal to the certificateholders; -- The credit default swap structure, which is consistent with Standard&Poor's criteria; -- The 'A+' rated underlying collateral; and -- The transaction's legal structure, which includes the issuer's bankruptcy remoteness. The transaction is a first-to–default structure credit-linked to Morgan Stanley (AA-/Negative/A-1+) and collateralized by The Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s (AA-/Negative/A-1+) notes ('A+').
