An investor group including US Growth Fund and Investors Global Fund raised its stake to 5.07% from 4.96 in Enquiror/Star Group by acquiring 21,700 Class A common shares in open market transactions from $14.50 to $14.75 per share. Based on the range high price, the raised stake had an indicated value of $.320 mil in cash. In April 1994, an investor group comprised of MacFadden Holdings and Boston Ventures offered to acquire the remaining 43%, or 18 mil Class A shares of Enquirer/ Star Group that they did not already own for $315 mil.
