Abstract:MOROCCO - Zardoya Otis SA (ZO) of Spain, a 51.7%-owned unit of United Technologies Corp (UTC), agreed to acquire a 51% interest in Otis Maroc SA (OM), a manufacturer of elevators, a 51:49 joint venture between OMI and Otis France SA, a unit of UTC's Otis Elevator Co subsidiary, for 21.9 mil euros ($29.25 mil US). Concurrently, ZO was granted an option to acquire the remaining 49% stake, which it did not already own, in OM.
