China's household electrical appliances industry enjoyed vigorous growth due to the emergence of upper middle class, which to certain extend, related with the increasing GDP per capita. In 2006, this industry continued to display rapid growth rate and it was estimated that this industry will reach RMB 660 billion and that there may be continuous double digit growth in the next 10 years. Over one-third of the world's household electrical appliances are made in China. Furthermore, China had manufactured 50% of the world's color television, 70% of the world's air conditioners and almost 100% of the world's microwave oven. In 2007-2010, China has the potential to become the second largest computer market in the world, right behind USA. The demand for digital products would further increase, improving the sales of digital products.
