The Pest Control industry has been doing well. Although the structure of the industry has been changing due to the decline of services provided through councils, private firms have still managed to attract sufficient business to expand. Only a decade ago, many local authorities had in-house pest control teams and provided free or subsidised services, but government spending cuts have eaten into the funding that underpinned this, leading many councils to reduce their services. The majority of local authorities now use private firms to fulfil their public health obligations.
Companies in the industry disinfect residential, commercial and public buildings. They also exterminate insects and other pests and offer fumigation services. The industry does not cover the control of agricultural pests.
The report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecast, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
