Mixed growth in non-residential construction activity has contributed to industry growth during the five years through 2012-13. Declines in commercial and industrial building construction from 2008-09 to 2010-11 were offset by increased government and institutional construction levels, which evened out demand for products from the industry during these years. As concerns about the environment grow, the industry also faces issues such as energy efficiency and the level of water used by cooling towers.
Companies in this industry manufacture HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) equipment, including space heaters, which may be freestanding or installed units that generate and deliver heat. Air conditioning systems manufactured in this industry are generally of commercial strength and range from eight kilowatts to over 5,000 kilowatts. Operators that manufacture household and automotive air conditioning and heating units are not included in this industry.
The report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecast, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
