The Executive Search Recruiters industry suffered a sharp contraction in revenue in 2008-09 and 2009-10 as the financial crisis and ensuing recession stifled demand from key markets. Having hit a nadir in 2009-10, the industry has since recovered much of the ground it lost in previous years. IBISWorld estimates that industry revenue will increase at a compound annual rate of 4.3% over the five years through 2014-15 to reach £1.2 billion. Improving economic conditions have been the impetus for industry expansion, particularly since the beginning of 2013-14, resulting in greater demand for the industry's services.
Executive search recruiters, known informally as headhunters, specialise in the recruitment of senior or executive personnel on behalf of clients. Services include targeted research and identification; candidate approach and vetting; and facilitation of the recruitment and assimilation processes.
The report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecast, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
