Abstract:

Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the two main tourist hubs of the country, are emphasising efforts and investment into the development and diversification of their tourist markets in order to attract more visitors. In addition to new theme parks, museums and exhibition centres to be built in the two Emirates, there will also be a wider variety of budget accommodations to attract more short-term travellers, many of whom utilise the cities as transit hubs for long-haul travel. ...Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the two main tourist hubs of the country, are emphasising efforts and investment into the development and diversification of their tourist markets in order to attract more visitors. As such, the healthcare system will focus on developing numerous centres of excellence in the fields of rehabilitation, cosmetology, neurology and cardiology.

Abu Dhabi is increasingly focusing its tourism strategy on meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) and cultural tourism, whereas the Dubai tourism board focuses primarily on developing attractions for families through theme parks, shopping and luxury hotels with extensive leisure facilities. ...The UAE s tourism market is very well developed, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering a wide range of attractions that complement each other well. Within this context, the emirate developed a strong strategy (Dubai ----) for increasing its attractiveness by diversifying the activities and attractions available to all kinds of tourists.
