Abstract:

While many weapons come from Iran and Russia for use by the Syrian armed forces, others are transferred onto the Hizbullah via Dimas airport close to the Lebanese border or via the Damascus-Beirut road. States that have backed factions which form part of the post-war solution in Syria are likely to be well placed to capture shares of the future Syrian defence market.
