Abstract:

Mobile The sale of state owned telecommunications giant Telekom Slovenia has still not gone though with investors pulling out on various ground at the last minute. The acquisition of Amis by Si.mobil in ---- has resulted in the second largest mobile player strengthening its competitive position in the market. ...There is also a high proportion of postpaid customers, especially by comparison to the rest of the region, implying there is a relatively low level of inactive accounts in the market. The two largest Slovenian operators, Si.mobil and Mobitel (owned by Telekom Slovenia), have been focused on pre- to postpaid migration and a transition to mobile broadband rather than subscription acquisition maximisation, which we also expect to contribute to the slowing growth rate. We believe that the penetration rates in the Slovenia market have reached a highsaturation point, with minimal organic growth prospects remaining.
