Abstract:

We expect the Peruvian construction industry recovery to be driven largely by a number of high-value infrastructure projects - the majority being government sponsored transport projects - which are now finally moving forward. A number of additional transport PPPs have also finally made it through environmental and technical studies and are set to move forward. ...With major work getting underway on Lima Metro, Gasoducto Sur Peruano, and other road works, we have already seen the industry start to turn to the corner. High-frequency industry data shows that Peru s construction industry trends upwards over the course of the year, posting the strongest growth from July onwards and ---- looks set to follow this pattern, indicating an uptick in construction activity over H- ----.
