Threats Security risks and high levels of violence. ...Interest rate hikes - in the US and mirrored in Mexico - could erode some of the housing market momentum, and make investments into infrastructure via FIBRA E and other mechanisms less attractive. The passage of reforms, most of which were opposed by large segments of the population, will result in a highly polarised social and political landscape, which will likely lead to periods of policy uncertainty and market volatility.

...We expect the Mexican construction industry to post -.- real growth in ----, driven by strength in the housing sector, manufacturing, and the newly liberalised energy sector.
