There are three primary service providers in Madagascar and all offer -G services. Thus far, -G service uptake has been low given the relatively high cost of -G handsets and data services. ...The poor state of the economy during the last four years has weakened the purchasing power of a significant proportion of the population, with rural dwellers most affected.
