Private consumption remained robust during the entire ----, as it increased by -.- y-o-y. In Q---, the private consumption in the Czech Republic increased by -.- y-o-y, while in the q-o-q comparison it was -.- up and could stand to benefit the residential and non-residential construction sectors. ...This will continue to support private consumption and consumers will benefit from increased income available for discretionary spending due to lower energy costs. Availability to credit is also improving access to housing, with mortgage rates at record lows, which in turn is driving house prices higher and leading to renewed sentiment in residential building, evidenced by the number of started dwellings in January ---- rising by --.- y-o-y (Czech Statistical Office, ----). According to our Country Risk team, the largest contributor to GDP growth will continue be private consumption (-.- percentage points in ----). ...She also pointed out she wants to have some powers over the next year regarding construction officials in order to allocate financing for these officials from the state, without taking into account city and regional finances.
