In April ----, the Chilean government announced plans to introduce Medicine Act - to strengthen the purchasing power of the Central Purchasing Agency (CENABAST), establish a permanent stock of generic drugs and biosimilars, to reduce medicine prices and improve the transparency of medicine price regulation. In June ----, Helsinn and Grunenthal Group signed an exclusive agreement for the registration, marketing, promotion and sale of Akynzeo by Grupo Grunenthal Chile. ...The drug is already approved in the US, the EU, Switzerland, Israel and Australia. In July ----, French orphan drug developer Onxeo entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Pint Pharma for the commercialisation of Beleodaq (belinostat), Onxeo s pan-HDAC inhibitor for peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), in key South American countries. The drug is being developed for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) in the Chilean market.
