Nuclear power in the U.S. continues to be under pressure from a few of its old nemeses: low power prices, increased operating costs, and uncertainty surrounding the regulatory climate. But since our most recent update on the nuclear industry in September 2016, the elevation of Donald Trump to this nation's highest office has introduced new questions for nuclear generation, while allaying some other concerns. The power and capacity pricing schemes in the U.S. are in a state of flux, with uncertainty surrounding underlying commodity pricing.
