| Abstract: | NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) May 7, 2009--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today assigned a 'CCC' rating to US Airways Group Inc.'s (B-/Negative/--) $75 million convertible senior notes due 2014, two notches below the corporate credit rating on the company. We assigned a '6' recovery rating to this debt, indicating expectations of negligible (0% to 10%) recovery in the event of payment default. "The ratings on US Airways reflect its participation in the high-risk U.S. airline industry, a substantial debt burden, and limited financial flexibility," said Standard&Poor's credit analyst Betsy Snyder.
