Abstract: TORONTO (Standard&Poor's) March 30, 2009--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today said it assigned its 'A-' debt rating to New York-based information solutions provider Thomson Reuters Corp.'s C$750 million 6% senior unsecured notes due 2016. We expect that Thomson Reuters will use the proceeds for refinancing debt maturing in 2009. At the same time, we affirmed all other ratings on Thomson Reuters and subsidiary Reuters Finance PLC, including the 'A-' long-term corporate credit rating on Thomson Reuters. The outlook is negative. "The ratings on Thomson Reuters largely reflect what we view as its strong business risk profile, including its expanded product portfolio following the 2008 acquisition of Reuters," said Standard&Poor's credit analyst Greg Pau.
