Abstract:

The ratings on Turkey-based operating holding company Dogus Holding A.S. reflect Standard&Poor's Ratings Services' assessment of its business risk profile as "weak" and of its financial risk profile as "significant". The "weak" business risk profile reflects our perception of still high country risks in Turkey, where the majority of Dogus' investments are located. It also reflects our view of Dogus' asset portfolio, which demonstrates a high concentration (in value terms) in Turkish bank Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. (Garanti; BB/Positive/--), limited liquidity because of the high proportion of majority-owned or controlled companies (which could affect Dogus' willingness to divest), and overall weak credit quality.
