| Abstract: | On June 18, 2008, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A-' debt rating to New York-based Thomson Reuters Corp.'s US$1.75 billion notes issued in two tranches: US$750 million 5.95% senior unsecured notes due July 15, 2013, and US$1 billion 6.50% senior unsecured notes due July 15, 2018. At the same time, we affirmed all other ratings, including the 'A-' long-term corporate credit rating on the company. The outlook is negative. Proceeds from the bond issues will be used to repay a portion of the bridge facility that helped finance the U.K.-based Reuters Group Ltd. acquisition on April 17.
