| Abstract: | On Oct. 27, 2008, Standard&Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on Germany-based postal service provider Deutsche Post AG (DP) to negative from stable following the group's cut in its profit outlook for 2008 and, given market uncertainty, withdrawal of profit guidance for 2009. At the same time, Standard&Poor's affirmed its 'BBB+' long-term corporate credit and 'A-2' short-term ratings on DP. The outlook is negative. The outlook revision reflects our concerns that the global economic environment is deteriorating markedly and that this will adversely affect DP's trading performance and make it more challenging for the group to improve its financial profile in line with our expectations for the rating.
