| Abstract: | NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) May 22, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that it placed its ratings on nine U.S. airlines on CreditWatch with negative implications, citing the potential severe financial damage from unprecedented high jet fuel prices. A 10th rated airline, Northwest Airlines Corp. (and its Northwest Airlines Inc. subsidiary, both rated B+/Watch Neg/--) is already on CreditWatch in connection with its proposed merger with Delta Air Lines Inc. (B/Watch Neg/--), whose CreditWatch status was revised to negative from positive. The other airlines placed on CreditWatch are AirTran Holdings Inc.
