| Abstract: | Standard&Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA/A-1+' rating to Georgia Private College and University Authority's series 2005C bonds, issued for Emory University. The bonds are converting to variable-rate demand obligations from auction-rate bonds. Standard&Poor's also affirmed its rating of 'A-1+' for the university's tax-exempt and taxable commercial Paper (CP) program and its 'AA' rating on the authority's debt, issued for Emory University. The 'AA' long-term ratings reflect the university's general obligation (GO) pledge, and the 'A-1+' rating reflects liquidity provided by the university. The long-term 'AA' rating is supported by: A substantial long-term investment portfolio of $6.2 billion as of Aug. 31, 2007; Good liquidity, with unrestricted resources covering 183% of operating expenses and 340% of outstanding
