| Abstract: | NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) Nov. 13, 2007--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services said today that its rating on The Hershey Co. (A/Stable/A-1) is not affected at this time by the resignation of eight of 11 board members. Six board members resigned at the request of the Hershey Trust, the company's controlling shareholder; an additional two directors, elected by other stockholders, also chose to resign. The resignations do raise investor uncertainties, including the future strategic direction of the company. Standard&Poor's will closely monitor developments with regard to the new board members and will be seeking further information about the changes.
