Abstract: NEW YORK (Standard&Poor's) April 25, 2008--Standard&Poor's Ratings Services today raised its ratings on Sylvania, Ohio-based media and cable television operator, Block Communications Inc., including the corporate credit rating to 'BB-' from 'B+'. The outlook is stable. "In November 2007 when we revised the outlook to positive, we recognized the potential for significant leverage improvements and stated that the rating could be raised if leverage improved to the mid-4x area," said Standard&Poor's credit analyst Naveen Sarma. "The upgrade reflects that dramatic improvement in leverage as adjusted debt-to-last 12 months EBITDA improved to 4.1x as of Dec. 31, 2007 from 6.5x in the year ago period," he said.
