...Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Janus Capital Group Inc. (Janus, NYSE: JNS) is the holding company of three investment advisors, Janus Capital Management LLC (Janus Capital), INTECH Investment Management LLC (INTECH), and Perkins Investment Management LLC (Perkins). Janus serves investors predominantly in the US market, but has a small, growing international base of international customers. Since its inception, Janus has been best known for its focus on growth style investing, but the acquisitions of INTECH and Perkins in 2002 and 2003, respectively, accelerated the company's move to diversify. The Janus' brand remains focused on offering growth equity to retail mutual fund investors. INTECH manages institutional portfolios using quantitative-driven investment strategies, while Perkins subadvises all of Janus' small and mid-cap value funds, and has recently launched large-cap value funds.
