    ...Irish Nationwide Building Society (INBS) is a mutual building society based in the Republic of Ireland, which focuses mainly on the provision of commercial real estate and residential mortgage lending in Ireland and the UK. It also distributes third-party insurance products and offers a range of savings and investment products to both retail and wholesale customers. As of 31 December 2008, INBS reported total consolidated assets of 14.4 billion. With an estimated 3% share of the domestic residential mortgage market, INBS is the smallest retail mortgage lender in Ireland. Nevertheless, its loan book grew significantly in recent years up to 2007, primarily due to the strong growth in its commercial lending portfolio, which now accounts for 78% of the total loan book.
