Following very unusual weather occurrences in various parts of the worl d including snow in India, hail stones the size of tennis balls in Japa n and tornados in Los Angeles, Manhattan is overwhelmed by an enormous wave of water that floods the city. This is almost instantly accompanied by a very rapid drop in temperature, resulting in several feet of solid ice throughout the streets of the city, alongside snow drifts several stories high. Most everything and everyone outside is flash frozen and the city finally sleeps. This movie plot could easily have been the background to the global banking system in September #### when the global financial liquidity simply froze up. As in the movie, there are various theories for the cause and there have been no simple and/or quick antidotes identified.
