CHINA - Yunnan Yuntianhua Co Ltd (YY) planned to raise its interest to ##.##% from ##.##% by acquiring a #.##% stake in Chongqing Polycomp International Corp, a fiber glass wholesaler and manufacturer, and a joint venture among YY, PC International Co Ltd (PC), Baolisi Co Ltd (BC), Saudi Arabian Amiantit Corp (SA) and Carlyle Asia Partners, from PC (#.##%), BC (#.##%) and SA (#.#%), for ### mil Chinese yuan ($##.### US).

US - In March ####, the board of Books-A-Million Inc, an owner and operator of book stores, authorized the repurchase of up to $# mil of the company's common stock outstanding in open market transaction.

US - Ospraie Special Opportunities Fund, a unit of Ospraie Management LLC, agreed to acquire ConAgra Trade Group (CT), a provider of sourcing, merchandising, trading, marketing and distributing agricultural and energy commodities services, from ConAgra Foods Inc, for $#.### bil. US - Illinois Tool Works Inc definitively agreed to acquire all the outstanding stock of Quipp Inc (QI), a manufacturer and wholesaler of material handling equipment, for $#.## in cash per share, or a total value of $#.### mil. The transaction was subject to customary closing conditions, QI shareholders and regulatory approvals.

US - Big Stick Media Corp agreed to acquire all the outstanding stock of Corcom Inc, a provider of sports information retrieval services, from CES Software PLC, a unit of Fund A Orlando Inc's Fun Technologies Inc subsidiary, for $##.## mil. The consideration was to consist of $##.## mil in cash and $#.# mil in common shares. The transaction was subject to stock exchange approval.

UK - Close Brothers Group PLC (CB) acquired Ambers Credit, a Skipton-based provider of financing services, from Skipton Building Society, for # mil British pounds ($#.### mil US). Concurrently, CB acquired Commercial Acceptances Group.

US - American Express Co agreed to acquire Corporate Payment Services, a provider of financial and credit card services, from GE Consumer Finance Inc, a unit of General Electric Co's General Electric Capital Corp subsidiary, for $#.# bil in cash.
