The CreditWatch placements follow Post's announcement that it is exploring the possibility of a business combination to enhance shareholder value. Post's board initiated this process after the company received an unsolicited proposal from unrated Williams Realty Advisors LLC (which is controlled by Post's former chairman and CEO, John Williams) and Cadim, a division of Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (AAA/Stable/A-1+), one of the largest Canadian fund managers.
