| The Group's principal activities are meat and food processing. The Group operates through two segments: Port and Pork products and Vegetables and Fruits. These product lines include over 200 meat products such as chilled pork, frozen pork, pig by-products and prepared meats. The products processed by the Group are sold through network of showcase stores, network stores and supermarket counters under 'Zhongpin' brand, both on wholesale and retail basis. The Group also produces and sells vegetables and fruits such as asparagus, sweet corn, broccoli, mushrooms, lima beans, strawberries and capsicum. The customers of the Group are fast food companies; export registered processing factories, school cafeterias, factory canteens, army posts and national departments. The Group operates in People's Republic of China, the United States and other foreign countries. The Group acquired Falcon Link on 30-Jan-2006. |
