The Group's principal activities are underground coal mining and preparing and selling coal. Other activities inlude providing railway transportation services and producing and selling methanol and electricity power. It operates six coal mines, namely the Xinglongzhuang coal mine, Baodian coal mine, Nantun coal mine, Dongtan coal mine, Jining II coal mine (Jining II) and Jining III coal mine (Jining III), as well as a regional rail network that links these mines with the national rail network. The Group is also involved in trading and processing mining machinery and investment holding. It operates in the People's Republic of China and Australia.
