The Group's principal activities are to design, develop, construct, deploy and finance satellite-based radio and data broadcasting service. It provides radio programming including a wide variety of music news and entertainment channels to listeners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds with channels such as BBC, CNN, Virgin Radio and other channels. It also develops and broadcast Worldspace-branded programming in response to demand in specific markets. Digital satellite radio was instrumental in the development of the satellite radio industry through his early involvement with XM Satellite Radio in the United States. The Group operates in 10 countries The United States, France, Kenya, South Africa, Singapore, India and Three satellite orbits in Africa, Asia and France.
