The Group's principal activities are to develop, produce and market television programs, pay-per-view program and live events. It also licenses and sells consumer products featuring World Wrestling Entertainment brand. The Group operates in four segments: Live and Televised Entertainment; Consumer Products; Digital Media and WWE Studios. The Live and Televised Entertainment segment consists of live events, sale of merchandise at live events, television, pay-per view and video on demand programming. The Consumer Products segment consists of the sale of home video products, magazines and consumer products. The Digital Media segment consists of advertising sales, sale of merchandise through WWEShop internet storefront and various broadband and mobile services. The WWE Studios segment produces feature films and other film projects. In 2008, the Group held 242 live events throughout North America and 77 events internationally.
