The Group's principal activity is distributing and supplying construction materials and services. It's operation focuses on distributing heavyside building materials and internal systems to professional contractors throughout the region. The Group also distributes timber and other building materials. It operates in 4,394 branches across 27 countries in Europe and North America. The Group operates with the brand name of plumb center,build center, pipe center, bathstore and encon. The Group's customers include building contractors, plumbing and heating engineers, industrial, end users, mechanical contractors, utilities, heating, ventilation and air conditioning and electrical contractors. On 06-May-2009, the Group sold 100 per cent of the shares of its subsidiary Stock Building Supply Holdings LLC.
