Winkler & Duennebier AG is a German company engaged in the production and sales of machinery for the graphic arts and paper processing industries. The Company divides its business activities into the segments Paper and Automation. The Paper segment develops, manufactures and distributes rotary cutting machines for paper and cardboard products, envelope and pocket-making machines, printing presses, as well as transportation and palletizing machines, among others. Automation offers automation solutions for the food and beverage industry with focus on the tissue industry. As of December 31, 2008, the Company operates through nine locations based in Neuwied, Alsdorf, Eisenberg, Freiberg and Bad Bramstedt in Germany; Valencia in Spain; Overland Park in the United States; Shanghai in China; as well as Shah Alam in Malaysia. On February 1, 2008, the Company acquired Langhammer Maschinenbau GmbH.
