Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activity is to provide aviation services that focus on leasing aftermarket commercial aircraft engines and other aircraft-related equipment. It provides service to commercial aircraft operators and maintenance, repair and overhaul organizations (MROs). Its engine portfolio consists of Stage III commercial jet engines manufactured by CFMI, General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and International Aero Engine. These engines may be used on one or more aircraft types powering Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Bombardier and Embraer aircraft. As of 31-Dec-2008, the Group had a total lease portfolio consisting of 160 engines and related equipment, four aircraft and three spare parts packages with 64 lessees in 35 countries. It also managed a total lease portfolio of 11 engines and related equipment for other parties. The Group operates in United States, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa and Middle East. |
