The Group's principal activities are to an analytical instrument manufacturer, designs, manufactures, sells and services, through its Waters Division, high performance liquid chromatography, ultra performance liquid chromatography(R) and mass spectrometry instrument systems and support products. It also develops and supplies software based products, which interface with the Group's instruments and are typically purchased by customers as part of the instrument system. Its products are used by pharmaceutical, life science, biochemical, industrial, academic and government customers working in research and development, quality assurance and other laboratory applications. It operates in the United States, Europe, Japan and Asia.
