The Wal-Mart Stores segment operates three different retail formats: Discount Stores, Super centers and Neighborhood Markets. The International segment consists of several different formats of retail stores and restaurants including discount stores, Super centers and SAM'S CLUB'S that operate outside the United States. The SAM'S CLUB segment consists of membership warehouse clubs. The Group operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, South Korea, Mexico and Puerto Rico. As on 31-Jan-2008, the Group operated in 971 discount stores, 2,447 Super centers, 591 Sam's Clubs and 132 Neighborhood Markets in the United States. It also operates 3,121 units internationally. |
